Flight IX886 Stranded at Dammam Intl. Airport-Over 186 Passengers Left in Uncertainty

Air India Express Flight IX886, scheduled to depart from Dammam (King Fahad International Airport) to Mangaluru at 9:35 PM (KSA time), has been stranded on the tarmac for over 2 hours due to a technical snag.

Around 186 passengers, including elderly individuals, women, and children, are still confined inside the aircraft without clear communication or timely assistance from the airline.

Despite the long delay, there has been no official update or clarity on the rescheduled departure time, leaving passengers anxious and uncertain.

Pro-bono lawyer, social worker & advocate for aviation justice, Dr. & Adv. P.A.HameedPadubidri, who is directly in contact with the stranded passengers said that this is not first time passengers  face this kind of issue, which is recurring phenomena with AirIndia Express.

He reiterated-“Passengers deserve timely information, basic comfort and dignified treatment during such delays. Being held inside an aircraft for hours without updates or proper care raises serious concerns about transparency, passenger rights, and basic human dignity.

We urge Air India Express and the concerned authorities to act promptly, provide clear communication, and ensure the well-being of all onboard.
