Dr. Suhel Ajaz appointed as a new Ambassador of India to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia

 

Riyad(Headlines Kannada): Dr. Suhel Ajaz Khan has been appointed as the new Ambassador of India to the KSA. It's reported in the press release & tweet of the Indian Embassy in Riyadh. He is currently serving as an Ambassador of India to Lebanon. It's informed that he is likely to assume the office soon.

The Indian External Affairs Ministry has appointed Dr. Suhel to this position which has been vacant since March 2022 after leaving of former Ambassador, Dr. Ausaf Sayeed. Since then, Charge d'affairs of the Indian Embassy Riyadh, Mr. N.Ram Prasad was acting in lieu of the vacant position. He was the Consular General in CGI Jeddah during 2005-2008 & then was Deputy Chief of Mission in the Embassy in Riyadh. He was the 1997's batch of the Indian Foreign Services, who did his MBBS in MP's Indore Medical College. He was first appointed as Ambassador to Egypt and did his advanced diploma in Arabic. As Indian diaspora in the KSA, we wish him all best.
