Al Qamar Moolur Family Fest 2025 Celebrated with Community Spirit in Umm Al Quwain
Umm Al Quwain: Al Qamar Moolur Family Fest 2025 was held on December 14 at a farmhouse in Umm Al Quwain, bringing together around 150 members of the community for a day-long programme from morning to evening.
The event began with a recitation from the Qur’an by Arhaam Ikram, followed by a dua by Fakeer Ahmed. The inaugural address was delivered by M. E. Moolur. One of the main attractions of the programme was “Souk Al Atfal – Kids Market,” an initiative aimed at encouraging entrepreneurship among children. Young participants including Arhaam Ikram, Shayaan Shameer, Muhammad Nouman, Marwaan, Hiza, Abdul Ahad and Razin displayed and sold products, with parents supporting their efforts.
After the Zuhr prayer, lunch was served to the participants. The programme continued with a series of games and activities for both adults and children, coordinated by a team that included Latif Moosa, Samad Birali, Naufal Madantiyar, Fakeer Ahmed, Basheer Ahmed, Roohina Ikram, Mubeena Shameer, Sajida Zunaid and Anjum Amirah. Snacks were served after the Asr prayer, followed by more games and quiz activities.
The closing ceremony was compered by Bathisa. Executive Member Mohammed Zunaid delivered the welcome address, while Shayaan Shameer recited from the Qur’an with an English translation by Arhaam Ikram. Hidayath Addoor, President of BCCI and a leader of the Bearys community, attended as chief guest and addressed the gathering. Founder President M. E. Moolur spoke on the collective effort behind the event, and Azhar Beary conveyed his wishes for the organisation’s future. Al Qamar President Naufal Muhammed thanked the organising team, while Family Fest Chairman Ikram Moolur highlighted the preparations and participation that went into the programme.
On the occasion, Al Qamar honoured Samad Birali for his work with youth, Fakeer Ahmed for his leadership, and Azhar Beary for his support to the organisation. Those present on the dais included Trust President M. E. Usman, MJWF President Siraj Moolur, social media influencer Shamshuddin Piligudu, community leader Nazeer Wamanjour and others.
The event was supported by Rasheed Mohammed, Suhaib Moolur, Naveez Rajab, Abdul Hameed Mohammed, Amanullah Ahmed, Shameer Barood, Adil Kareem, Abdul Rahiman Mohammed, Ismail Baba, Elyas Umar, M E Sulaiman, Rafeeq Uchila, Ahmed Bawa Moosabba, Atif Fakeer and M E Ismail, along with all Al Qamar members.
An educational session was conducted by research scientist Sannan Siddiq Moodabidri, who spoke on research related to analog stations. Prizes were distributed to winners and runners-up of the various competitions held during the day.
The programme concluded with a vote of thanks by M. E. Usman and ended with a barbecue dinner.
